Five expensive watches, two designer handbags, 500 euros in cash, 300 British pounds sterling, a pearl necklace and other items were taken during a burglary in Larnaca on Saturday night, police said
The items were taken from two ground-floor apartments in the same building in which a grandmother and her granddaughter live separately.
According to police, the women filed a complaint saying the apartments had been broken into between 8pm and 10.30pm when they were out.
Officers at the scene found the front-door locks on both apartments had been broken.
