A fire which was probably caused by arson, police said, caused extensive damage to a car in Larnaca on Monday morning.
The incident happened in the parking lot of an apartment block where the owner of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man from Georgia, lives. Residents of the building alerted the fire brigade at around 5.30am.
The blaze, extinguished by the fire brigade caused extensive damage to the back of the car, which is estimated to be worth around €10,000.
Preliminary tests carried out by police suggest it was set on fire maliciously. Police are continuing their investigation.
