A 49-year-old man who fell off the roof of a five-floor apartment building on Monday is in critical condition at the Larnaca hospital.
Police said they were alerted at around 11.40am, that a man fell off the roof of a five-floor Larnaca apartment building located behind the Anglican Church. The man is a 49-year-old Greek Cypriot who lives in the Famagusta district.
So far, police said, they have not been able to secure any testimonies as to the conditions of the fall, while investigations continue.
The 49-year-old was transferred to the Larnaca hospital where he underwent surgery. His condition is deemed critical.
State pathologist Sophocles Sophocleous, who went to the scene to investigate, told the Cyprus News Agency that according to an initial assessment, there was no foul play.
