With winter in full swing and the temperature dropping, when going out for a drink it’s nice to feel as though you are in a welcoming, warm, cosy environment. This is exactly the feeling you get when walking in to Finnigans Irish bar.
Finnigans Irish Bar has light wooden furnishings with luxurious looking upholstery, and modern décor. The beautiful, deep red walls with intricate detailed patterns on them, splendid stained glass and the wonderful curtains are reminiscent of a room you’d find in a vintage English mansion.
You wouldn’t think that you could combine this look with sports but Finnigans Irish Bar has effortlessly managed to do so without losing any of its class. The booths with green leather cushioning are perfect for a get together to watch a game on one of the many big screens. For some half time entertainment or even just a casual night out with friends, Finnigans Irish bar also offers the option to play pool. None of the hanging around and watching others to play and waiting your turn though, Finnigans has six pool tables, so it’s likely that you will find at least one of them available!
On tap, Finnigans doesn’t have a wide variety of beers but being an Irish bar, they do, of course have Guinness! If however, you are feeling a little more exotic, there is also a selection of cocktails on offer. All drinks on the menu are also reasonably priced.
If you want to share a sausage platter with friends or have a bite to eat, Finnigans also offers food. Not a huge amount of selection on the food menu but enough there to satisfy different tastes and preferences.
Another bonus is the location. Finnigans Irish bar is located on the ground floor of the K Max Entertainment Centre so you can enjoy a beer with friends after bowling upstairs or a chilled end to an evening after watching a movie on the big screen at the cinema next door.
For whatever the occasion, Finnigans has something for everyone. I’d recommend going down for a drink with friends and shooting some pool for a chilled, casual night out.
