A 40-year-old man is being treated in hospital, after he was hit by an excavator in a work accident, Monday morning.
The man was working to repair a water pipe in Larnaca when the incident happened. The 40-year-old was first transported to Larnaca General Hospital and then to Nicosia General Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was kept for further treatment in the ICU.
His condition is judged as serious by attending physicians.
Kiti police, the office of labour and the electromechanical service are looking into the case.
