Road works on Larnaca highway and in Limassol

THE Larnaca public works department announced that it will carry out a number of road works this month.

Due to clean-up work on the motorway to Paralimni, 300 metres of the left lane from the Rizoelia roundabout up to Xylophagou will be closed on weekdays from 8am to 2pm from September 14 to 25.

On Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, 16, the department will carry out maintenance work on parts of the highway between the Rizoelia roundabout and Paralimni between 8am and 3.30pm.

During the execution of the work, the left lane will be closed in both directions for a length of about 150 metres.

On Thursday, September 17, a 150 metre section of the left lane of the highway between Larnaca and Kofinou will shut down. Work will be in progress from 8am to 3.30pm.

Between 3pm and 6pm Artemis avenue in Larnaca will closed on Wednesday in the direction of the airport. Traffic will be directed through adjacent streets.

The Limassol office of the ministry of communications and works also announced closures due to maintenance for this weekend.

Work will taking place from 4pm on Saturday at a section of Miltonos street and Dervenion street and from 8pm at a one kilometre stretch of Paphos street from its junction with Evgenios Voulgareos road up to Kalavriton street. The road works are expected to be completed by 8pm on Sunday.

During this period, traffic will pass through the secondary road network in the area.
