A father of three young children, Giorgos Hadjigeorgiou, 35, from Paralimni was killed in an accident on his motorcycle in the early hours of Sunday near the Larnaca marina, the Cyprus News Agency reported.
Citing police, it said that around 3.30am Hadjigeorgiou was driving along Makarios Avenue towards the marina when he collided with a car driven by a 27-year-old woman and was thrown from his vehicle. He was not wearing a helmet and was killed instantly.
Hadjigeorgiou was taken to Larnaca General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
