Police have arrested a 60-year-old school bus driver in Larnaca on Monday under a court-issued warrant following allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards a 16-year-old student.
According to sources, the driver had allegedly been making inappropriate verbal remarks to the girl since January. The incidents reportedly took place inside the school bus, which the student used regularly.
The matter came to light after the girl informed her school administration. Her parents then filed an official complaint with the police, leading to an investigation.
Authorities moved swiftly, detaining the suspect, who is expected to appear before the court. The case remains under investigation.
