A 40-year-old domestic worker was remanded on Tuesday for four days by Larnaca district court, suspected of stealing almost €7,000 worth of jewellery from her employer.
Police said they received a report from an Aradippou resident in Larnaca who believed her mother’s employee stole a gold necklace on August 25.
Following investigations at shops that trade gold, police found the necklace and discovered that the employee sold them two gold rings in the past.
The daughter who reported the incident said after looking closely at her mother’s jewellery she found several gold and white gold rings, chains and other jewellery worth €6,960 were missing.
