The 34-year-old gym trainer, who had been remanded for eight days in connection with investigations into the brutal murder of 36-year-old Daniella Rosca, has been released.
His release was the result of non-receipt of the findings of DNA testing on evidence seized from the crime scene by the Larnaca CID.
It is expected that the results of DNA testing, due to be received this week, will accurately indicate the 34-year-old’s extent of involvement in the murder case.
He has consistently maintained his innocence since his arrest.
The Moldovan victim’s body was found on October 31, but it is thought that the murder took place about a day earlier.
