One man was seriously injured and four others suffered minor injuries after their car collided head-on with a rental car early on Wednesday.
The driver of the rental car was moving in the wrong direction on the motorway and collided with the other car 200 metres from the Rizoelia roundabout at around 4am.
The five people in the second car were transferred to Larnaca hospital where they were treated for their injuries. Four were released.
The driver of the rental car drove off and has not yet been identified by police who are searching for him.
