
A Larnaca man was arrested on Tuesday after police found thousands of counterfeit shoes in his flat.
Members of the Office for Combating Intellectual Property Theft and Illegal Betting, specialising in identifying counterfeit goods in cooperation with the Police Headquarters Information Office and Customs Department raided his flat after securing a warrant following information that he was selling counterfeit goods.
During a search 1,498 pairs of shoes, imitations of various brands were discovered and seized by Customs. The 37-year old allegedly sold similar products over the internet.
Customs are continuing their investigations.
