A 50-year-old woman and her son, 25, were remanded in custody for three days in Larnaca on Tuesday on suspicion of living off the proceeds of prostitution.
The pair were arrested in the flat they kept on April 1 Avenue on Monday after police received a tip off that two Asian women were offering massages and ‘manual stimulation’.
A sting operation was organised using a police collaborator who paid €80 for the service with a marked €100 bill.
Police also seized a mobile phone, a woman’s wig, and two notebooks with clients’ names.
Officers also confiscated €3,500 in cash, including the marked bill.
Reports said the son used to dress up as a woman and take part in the enterprise.
