LARNACA airport’s police chief was attacked by a 35-year-old passenger at the security line, police said on Friday
The assailant, from Nicosia, was set to depart for Athens on Thursday. However, while standing in line to get scanned he caused a disruption delaying the rest of the passengers.
Upon realising people were being held up, the airport’s police chief asked the 35-year-old to proceed with the security checks.
The passenger reacted and began to yell and push the officer.
Police arrested the man who was charged in writing and will be called before court at a later date.
